Purple haze vampire crab, it’s gotta be one of the coolest color types out there.
It molts on land and in water but primarily on land and that’s very uncommon for vampire crabs. Typically they molt in water and it’s recommended to have at least 2 inches of water for them to molt in. For the types that molt only land, only a few do, I’d still do at least 2 inches of water in the water area.

Some pics of our beautiful orchid vampire crabs, they’re pure no hybrids here. We like to keep the vampire crab colors separate to prevent any chance of issues or hybrids.
