☀️Summer Safety for Pets ☀️

• Always provide plenty of fresh water. Some pets may eat less during hot weather, but staying hydrated is essential. Goat’s milk or bone broth can help encourage water intake.

• Avoid peak heat! Walk during cooler morning or evening hours.

• Keep paws off hot pavement and stick to grass or shaded areas only. Paws burn easily!

• Never leave a pet unattended in a vehicle. Temperatures can become dangerous in minutes.

• Supervise pets around pools, lakes, and other bodies of water. Not all dogs can swim!

• Watch for signs of overheating, including excessive panting, weakness, vomiting, drooling, or a rapid heart rate- and learn what to do to act fast if this occurs!

A few simple precautions can help keep your pets safe all summer long. 🐾☀️
