Birth Is Beautiful

Nothing could prepare me for the emotional ride of being a doula. For the tears shed and the laughter shared with parents and children in times of vulnerability and of strength. It sometimes surprises me how much love can form in my heart — how it bubbles out of me as I watch “my” babies grow. I’ve been a part of 27 births now, and hundreds of families have welcomed me into the intimate story that unfolds behind their front doors. The last few years of life have challenged me and changed me, as I’ve dug deeper into my own capacity to care for others and to care for myself through it all. I’m grateful for the growth and for the continuous opportunity to share this journey with my beautiful community of friends and families. I wouldn’t change a thing. ❤️ 📷:
