The Public Safety Personnel category includes various professionals such as municipal police services, CN Police Services, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Dispatch/ 911 Operators, Mobile Crisis Operators, Fire Protection Services, Traumatic Accident Clean-up Crews, Hospital Trauma personnel, Nurses, Social Workers, Doctors, Coroners, Indigenous Emergency Management, Crown Prosecutors, Emergency Communications Specialist, Corrections Officers, “Volunteer” First Responders, Conservation Officers, Probation Officers, Veterinarians and Private Sector First Responders. Essentially, anyone who has the potential to develop an OSI through daily operational duties. Family members, including spouses and partners, are welcome!

Finding PTSD Mental Health Supports | Osi-Can Saskatchewan Metatag: We at OSI-CAN do not see PTSD or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as a Disorder, we see it as an Injury you can recover from. If you are suffering from the symptoms of an Occupational Stress Injury or Operational Stress Injury, then a PTSD or PTSI diagnosis is not required to get our help.”
