Restore Eden Initiative

On Sunday 8 February 2026, the Restore Eden Initiative had the privilege of preparing and facilitating structured games at the The Rotary Club Of Marondera Interact Clubs Fun Day, under the guidance of Rotarian Theresa Covini (New Generation Portfolio Chairperson RCM & RYLA Zim Chair).

What may have looked like “just games” was intentional youth engagement — promoting teamwork, leadership, coordination, and active participation.

We are grateful for the trust placed in REI and encouraged by the warm feedback received.

We are proud to be partnering with the Municipality of Marondera together with Marondera University Of Agricultural Sciences And Technology Clean Marondera, Environmental Management Agency, Ministry of Health and Child Care in the Waste Characterization Survey Data Gathering Exercise running from 26–31 January 2026.

This important exercise will help gather data to improve waste management policies and service delivery in our town, and we are honoured to contribute to building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Marondera.

We encourage all residents and businesses to fully cooperate with the enumerators who will be visiting communities during this period. Your participation matters!

We are grateful to the Peterhouse Group of Schools, and especially the Snell House pupils, for standing with us in environmental stewardship during their Community Connect Day.
The wetlands clean-up is a powerful example of youth leadership, service, and care for our shared environment.
