Running a marathon is no easy task however when you speak to a marathon runner, they may say otherwise. The sole reason is because they would have mastered the endurance that is required to run long distances. It takes weeks, months and even years of practice to be able to run a marathon with ease.

Endurance is the ability to last a difficult process or situation without giving way. Scripture encourages us to rejoice when we face trouble and trials because this is what produces endurance in us. Many examples in the Bible show us how men and women built endurance through the things they went through.

David, Joseph, Ruth, the widow whose sons were about to be taken away and Shadreck, Misheck and Abednigo are all examples of people who came face to face with problems that were beyond them but however came out victorious. When you look at yourself today, can you rejoice at the war zone you may be experiencing? It’s not easy to build endurance but our spiritual endurance can only be cultivated in such processes.

For every trouble you’re facing today, rejoice!
