Types of Companies that can be registered in Zimbabwe

1. PBC - Private Business Corporation

* It is suitable for sole traders, start-ups & small to medium enterprises.

* can be formed by 1 member to 20 members only .

* It doesn't have much paperwork compared to PVT LTD & much cheaper as well.

* Only two objectives can be registered that a business can do.

* The out come regidsterd document is called STATEMENT OF INCOPORATION

* It operates the same as the PVT LTD it's just a smaller version of a PVT LTD company , can participate in an Tender , can obtain a Bank Account & a Tax clearance certificate.

2. (PVT) LTD - (Private) Limited

* It is suitable for medium to large enterprises

* Can be formed by 2 to 50 directors

* It have too much paperwork compared to PBC whereby there will need to graft your Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association, CR5, CR6

* There is no limit on company objectives

* A certificate of incorporation is obtained once registration is completed

* Tax clearance certificate, Bank Account, can therefore be applied for

3. TRUST - DEED OF TRUST

* It is suitable for Non-profit Making Organisations , NGOs, Churches

* It has a founder & board of trustees

* Paperwork defer depending on organisational objectives

* A Deed of trust is obtained once registration is completed

* Tax clearance certificate, Bank Account, can therefore be applied for.
