JESUS: Yo, Peter! I know you think you got it all together, but the devil’s after you and you gon’ mess up bad soon, but I’ve prayed for you.

PETER: Not me Lord – I’m ready to go do time in prison and even die for you.

JESUS: Yeah, right. Listen - before the rooster crows today you gon’ deny me 3 times.

LUKE 22:54-61 Peter the Apostle disowns Jesus and has a complete breakdown and weeps bitterly.

JOHN 21:15-17 Peter’s Restoration: 3x Jesus says to Peter after the resurrection – “Do you love me?”

Peter is restored and reinstated, and a short time later on the Day of Pentecost preaches a 3 minute message that gets 3,000 saved and births a movement.

GRACE: You may have messed up, but nothing could be worse that denying the Lord Jesus like Peter did. And look at how lovingly Jesus restores him. Jesus had been praying for him.

Peter is the comeback kid. If you have had any failure in your life, be encouraged.

Jesus is praying for you, and your set back is going to be a set up for your comeback.

That same grace and love is available for you. Just receive it. Jesus forgives you. Now forgive yourself. Receive the grace and get back in the race.
