This recently completed project transformed a once purely functional boathouse into a beautiful, usable, modern loft-style space.

By opening up the layout, maximising natural light, and introducing clean finishes with an industrial-inspired edge, the space now feels contemporary, practical, and inviting while still respecting the character of the original structure.

The old timber decking has been removed, making way for a sleek new steel structure with stunning composite decking, transforming our client's outdoor space into a modern, low-maintenance haven. Perfect for those long summer evenings!

My Personal Renovation Journey Continues!

This time, it's the kitchen and utility transformation in our 1920s semi-detached London home!

We stripped everything back to brickwork, removed the floor, and knocked through from the kitchen into the dining room to create an open-plan living space. We installed steel RSJs to support the structure, extended the kitchen by knocking through the old outside room, and replaced the entire roof, adding electric skylights.

The roof is a sleek flat design with a grey fibreglass finish. Inside, we finished the ceilings, installed all new plumbing and electrics, laid a new timber plywood floor, and plastered everything. Painting was a breeze thanks to a paint sprayer (my wife and I would’ve spent days otherwise!). We also installed underfloor heating throughout the downstairs, laid beautiful Grigo G marble flooring, and completed the look with a high-gloss white kitchen and our absolute favourite—the stunning Belvedere Granite worktop.

Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience by completely stripping out and refurbishing my own 1920s semi-detached house in London. One of the highlights was our kitchen renovation, where I stripped everything back to the brickwork, rebuilt the floor, and knocked through to create an open-plan layout. We installed supporting steel, a new ceiling and roof, plastered new walls, and finished with a stunning marble floor. To top it off, we installed a sleek white gloss kitchen with belvedere granite worktops.
