Position Summary

The Finance Graduate Intern will provide support to the finance department. The intern will assist in day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and record-keeping while developing professional skills under the supervision of the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and processing of payments, receipts, and financial transactions.
• Support the recording and reconciliation of expenditures, bank statements, and petty cash.
• Help maintain proper financial documentation and filing systems (both physical and electronic).
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing requested documents.
• Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and donor requirements.
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Perform any other finance-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• At least one (1) year of attachment/internship experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; exposure to accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Pastel) is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team.
• High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality in handling financial information.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, supervising practical training, producing high-quality products, and mentoring apprentices to develop professional skills in line with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training and mentorship in welding to apprentices, trainees, and junior staff.
• Design, produce, and supervise the fabrication of metal structures, and other assigned projects.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest professional and safety standards.
• Oversee the maintenance, safe use, and proper storage of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of apprentices and provide constructive feedback and reports to management.
• Collaborate with project staff to align training with industry needs and labour market demands.
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards in all workshop and field activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Recognized qualification in Welding, or related technical trade (craft certificate, diploma, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in and welding, with evidence of high-quality workmanship.
• Certification or recognition as a Master Craftsman or equivalent (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and supervise apprentices or junior artisans.
• Strong knowledge of welding tools, safety equipment, and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and standards.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team and multicultural environment.

Position: Youth Specialist

Position Summary

The Youth Specialist will provide oversight in the implementation of Zimbabwe Works Youth programs in Mutare and Harare. This includes effective coordination with stakeholders and other district partners and ensuring that Zimbabwe Works youth interventions meet national and international standards.

Responsibilities

-Supervise Field Officers and MERL Officer
-Ensure that Field Officers are accurately targeting clients in line with the case plan process.
-Drive the implementation of Zimbabwe Works’s youth activities in Mutare and Harare that include; Entrepreneurship and Business Management, Business Mentorship, Technical Skills Training, Internship placement, Mentorship for basic Technical Skills
-Review program and MEAL data to track project performance and identify best practices.
-Work with District Field Officers to ensure that ZW youth trainings meet national and international standards.
-Ensure project sustainability by creating strong links with relevant provincial stakeholders
-Coordinate with Field Officers to generate monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports.
-Leverage private sector networks to effectively identify and respond to ZW client needs.
-Provide regular updates on implementation progress and prepare appropriate contributions to internal ZW and donor reports. This may include conducting mini researches and generating other technical reports as required.
-Identify any problems or challenges that may arise and offer solutions in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Experience

-Must possess good leadership skills
-Should be able to work with minimal supervision
-Should be computer literate (Microsoft word and excel).
-Team player and experience in working within a consortium setup an added advantage
-Good interpersonal and writing skills
-Proficiency in English the relevant local language
-Minimum of a University degree in Development Studies, Social work, Business Studies or equivalent.
-Minimum 5 years working in developmental programs preferably youth and livelihood programming

Position Summary

The MEAL Officer will provide overall support for monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning to the District Field Officers across Zimbabwe Works projects. S/He will work closely with the ZW District Field Officers, Youth Specialist and HQ staff in the area of knowledge and information management and ZW HQ staff in the areas of knowledge and information management combined with generation of reports, developing and managing M&E systems in accordance with donor standards, data quality and gathering learning and best practice documentation in M & E and related key program areas.

Responsibilities

-Develop, manage and refine the project MEAL system
-Lead in the statistical analysis and/or interpretation of results, data and information for program development.
-Provide technical input into the design and implementation of project MEAL activities.
-Respond to information demands placed on ZW by management, staff and donors.
-Ensure that the project(s) complies with donor DQA requirements.
-Develop and refine project data collection tools and identify strengths and weaknesses in existing
data collection and management systems and propose solutions.
-Undertake periodic and timely field monitoring visits as required to ensure the quality of
submitted data and verify accuracy of the data.
-Verify, clean, collate, analyze project generated data.
-Manage project information such as beneficiary data base, projects district level Indicator Performance Tracking Table.
-Support the project staff in the compilation and verification of project reports
-Document the lessons learned and best practices of the different project sectors that can be
implemented and or up-scaled in future for business development opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience

-Must possess good leadership skills
-Should be able to work with minimal supervision
-Should be computer literate (Microsoft word and excel).
-Team player and experience in multi donor setup an added advantage
-Good interpersonal and writing skills
-Proficiency in English the relevant local language
-Minimum of a University degree in Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics or equivalent. Certification in Monitoring & Evaluation will be an added advantage.
-Minimum 5 years working in developmental programs preferable in youth and livelihood programming
