Our Development Our Responsibility

First, let me explain what I mean by “innovation.” I’m not talking about processes for making improvements to existing products and services. And I’m not talking about purely technical invention. Innovation, as I use the term, means pursuing radical new business opportunities, exploiting new or potentially disruptive technologies, and introducing change into the core concept of your business.

I believe it is time we build a vision for our nation. A vision that goes beyond the elected period of time. A vision that lays a platform in which our political parties are voted into power not on the basis of popularity but on the basis of how best they are going to advance the vision. Not change it. We need a vision for our nation in which us as the youth are proud to be identified with. A vision in which the role we are going to play is clearly spelled out. A vision that allows us the opportunity to dream and realize our potential. I need not to be aligned to a political party for me to know what is expected of me as a Zimbabwean youth. Even if political parties die and fade, the Zimbabwean vision must live on and on for generations to come. We must be known for something as a nation. That can only be achieved if we look inside us and reveal the Us in Us.
