How do you know when mass trapping is the way to go? Here are some of the benefits of trapping the whole colony at once:

✔️ It can quickly resolve a problem situation. When you alter all the colony cats at the same time, it can almost immediately eliminate nuisance behaviors such as yowling, fighting, and foul odors.

✔️ It requires less time and effort. While it may feel like a lot of work, in the end mass trapping is less work than trapping just a few at a time. That’s because you’re only performing all the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) steps once, instead of repeating them over a period of weeks or months.

✔️ It makes it easier to catch those last cats. Once you’ve trapped the majority of cats, you can easily identify the holdouts and withhold food, set out extra traps, or try a trapping trick or two. This way, you’re more likely to achieve 100% sterilization.
