As we commemorate *Independence Day*, we reflect on the sacrifices of our heroes who fought tirelessly for the freedom. Their courage and resilience inspire us to continue pushing and striving for a better future, one built on unity, justice and shared prosperity.

In the *cement sector*, we are the backbone of Zimbabwe’s infrastructure and economic growth. Our hard work fuels progress, and together, we must advocate for fair wages, safe working conditions, and sustainable industry practices. On this day, let us renew our commitment to:

- *Solidarity*: Standing united as workers to protect our rights and dignity.
- *Progress*: Pushing for innovation and fair labor policies in our sector.
- *Patriotism*: Contributing to Zimbabwe’s development through our skills and dedication.

This year, let us focus on empowering each other. Together, we can advocate for fair wages, safe working conditions, and sustainable practices that respect both our workers and our environment. We must strive to uplift our community and ensure that every worker feels valued and heard.
