BISHOP SHIMBAMI ENDORSES MOSES KOKELA DURING CHURCH EVENT
The Evangelical Church in Zambia, Lumwana East Congregation, has officially been opened by Mutanda Regional Bishop Patrick Shimbami. Aspiring Kalumbila Council Chairperson Moses Kokela attended the event as special guest and pledged to install ceiling boards for the church. Speaking during the gathering, Bishop Patrick Shimbami reportedly told the congregation that Moses Kokela is the right person for the position, citing the various developmental works he has done within the Evangelical Church in Zambia and across the country.
An aspiring parliamentary candidate for Mufumbwe, Eliot Kamondo, has called on residents of Mufumbwe and Zambians at large to avoid tribal politics and instead focus on developmental issues during campaigns.
Speaking in an interview with North West TV, Mr. Kamondo said political leaders should concentrate on discussing programs that can improve the lives of citizens rather than promoting tribalism.
Mr. Kamondo stated that if elected back into office as Member of Parliament, he will ensure that all unfinished development projects in the district are completed.
He further said he is ready to work together with the new Member of Parliament from the newly created constituency in order to accelerate development in the area.
Mr. Kamondo also expressed concern over the poor state of infrastructure in the district, noting that many bridges in Mufumbwe are damaged and require urgent attention.
He has since appealed for unity and cooperation among residents to support meaningful development in the district
