Our love for others is our grateful response to the love God first demonstrated to us.
1 John 4:19

Always Choose to love irrespective of the circumstance or situation. You cant harbor hatred and bitterness in your heart as a Child of God and filled with the Holy Spirit. That is a form of corruption and inconsistent with the nature of God.

"But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless."

This here in Galatians 5:22 is who you are as a Child of God amd anything else is not of God.
As Gods Child you are Love and you owe everyone Love irrespective of who they are or what they have done for or against you.

Don’t owe anything to anyone, except your outstanding debt to continually love one another, for the one who learns to love has fulfilled every requirement of the law.
