📍 Nkeyema District | WASH Advocacy in Action

We are working closely with Nkeyema District Health Office and local stakeholders to begin the formulation of a district-informed WASH Manifesto ahead of 2026.

Through community dialogue meetings, we are creating space for communities to raise real, lived WASH challenges and locally grounded solutions ensuring that water, sanitation, and hygiene priorities truly reflect people’s needs.

Our appreciation goes to Nkeyema Town Council, the District Health Fiice, The District Education Board Secretary’s Office, community leaders, line ministries, CSOs, and over 120 participants who joined the first dialogue meeting at Munkuye Primary Schoo

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝘄: 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗛

We are currently at the Grand Palace Hotel in Lusaka where Nwasco - National Water Supply and Sanitation Council, in partnership with WaterAid Zambia, is facilitating a high-level engagement with Members of with Members of Parliament National Assembly of Zambia from the Parliamentary WASH Caucus and the Committees on Energy, Water Development & Tourism are actively discussing the current state of the WASH sector and the implications of the 2026 National Budget on water, sanitation, and hygiene services.
The conversations are focused on: strengthening sector governance, building a stronger investment case for WASH, aligning parliamentary action with Zambia’s long-term development agenda
