He has served God and our nation! When David had fulfilled the purpose of God about his life, he fell asleep and went to join his forefathers... Most us are today because Pastor Ray said yes to the call of God. God used him mightily to pioneer the move of His Spirit in South Africa and to propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all races during Apartheid when it was unpopular to do so. The results were generational spin offs that would last for many generations and eternity. He has fought a good fight, finished the race, kept the faith. Awaiting him is a crown of Righteousness.

Fare thee well God's General, I have no doubt that the enemy gave a sigh of relief when Pst Ray took his last breath, and there was rejoicing in heaven!

Prayer is the Great Essential

Paul speaks of the armour we are to put on, and then he goes straight on without a break – “Praying at all times…” It is tremendously important for a soldier to have on the right armour and to be equipped with a sword, but what is equally important is that the soldier should keep in constant communication with his Commander-in-chief (Hebrews 2: 10). The Christian, while he is on the field of battle, is in direct touch with the throne of God, and the prayer-line of communication with our risen Lord must never be broken. Prayer is the great essential: it is certainly not optional; it is fundamental.
