From the mothers who raise us, to the daughters who inspire us, to the women who stand on the front lines of our communities, your courage, love, and sacrifice shape the world we live in.

Today we celebrate you. Not only for the love you give, but for the power you carry to transform nations and uplift generations.

The progress of any people can be measured by the respect and opportunity given to its women. Let us build a Lusaka Central where every woman is valued, protected, and empowered to thrive.

Last evening, we engaged the Executive Board of the Association for Disability Is Not Inability, an organisation grounded in a simple but powerful truth: inclusion is not charity, it is justice.

Too often, society labels difference as weakness, yet the real weakness lies in a system that excludes. The challenges faced by people with disabilities in Bauleni are not invisible, they are simply ignored. Tonight, we confronted those realities and spoke honestly about access, dignity, opportunity, and responsibility.

I have committed myself to work hand in hand with our brothers and sisters living with disabilities, because a society that rises while leaving others behind is not progressing, it is standing still.

Let us challenge stigma. Let us reject silence. Let us build a Lusaka Central where every citizen counts, participates, and contributes.

We are one people. And together, we are stronger.
