LUSAKA CITY COUNCIL COMPLETES MINI CIVIC CENTRE IN LUSAKA CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY
The Lusaka City Council (LCC) is pleased to announce the successful completion of construction works on the Lusaka Central Constituency Mini Civic Centre.
The project, which is set to be commissioned soon, was funded by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development at a total cost of K3,379,027.91.
The Lusaka Central Mini Civic Centre is among four Mini Civic Centres completed across the city, alongside the Kabwata, Kanyama and Matero Mini Civic Centres.
The establishment of these facilities is part of efforts to decentralise local authority operations and bring key municipal services closer to the people. The centres are expected to improve service delivery, reduce congestion and operational pressure at the main Civic Centre, and enhance efficiency in the provision of public services.
The initiative is in line with Government’s fiscal decentralisation policy, which focuses on delivering community-driven infrastructure that responds directly to the needs of residents.
Lusaka City Council remains committed to providing accessible, efficient and responsive public services through continued infrastructure development.
The official commissioning date for the Lusaka Central Mini Civic Centre will be announced in due course.

Government has welcomed the successful rescue operation and thanked rescue teams and members of the community for their support throughout the mission.
