WORKS ON THE SAKANIA–MUFULIRA ROAD SECTION GAIN MOMENTUM

Works on the Sakania–Mufulira section of the Ndola–Sakania–Mufulira Road Project have gained momentum following the end of the rainy season.

Work on the 41-kilometre stretch between Sakania and Mufulira, which commenced last year, has resumed, with construction progressing to bituminous standard.

The Government of the Republic of Zambia has partnered with Jaswin Port to rehabilitate the Ndola–Mufulira Road and upgrade the Sakania Border Post under a concession agreement that includes a two-year construction period and 19 years of maintenance and operations.

The project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
