Day 1 of the Civil Society Dialogue Workshop! 🤝

The ACA, in partnership with the Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) under the JCP Zambia, is bringing together CSO leaders to strengthen strategic dialogue, deepen understanding of civic space, and sharpen leadership approaches for advocacy, accountability, and collaboration across Zambia.

Across our projects, we have invested in the training of trainers (ToT) model. By training active citizens in the human rights-based approaches and public resource management framework, we are ensuring that civic education remains within reach.

This month, the ToTs through our Rural Equity project under the LIFT Zambia Programme, met a total of 360 community members in Chifuko, Sashi, and Shikamushile zones of Chinkintukila and Kasansa Wards in Chifunabuli district.

This activity was implemented under the LIFT-Zambia Programme, a five-year development partnership led by Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and Dan Church Aid (DCA) under the JCP Zambia, with support from NORAD and DANIDA.

Citizens were promised that the Public Order Act would be repealed. The Public Gatherings Bill appears to be another version of the POA. What happened? 🤔
