The RAAS (Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System).

RAAS SYSTEM:— is a hormone system that plays a crucial role in regulating blood pressure, fluid balance, and electrolyte levels in the body.

1. Kidneys detect low blood pressure and release renin.
2. Renin turns angiotensinogen (from liver) into angiotensin I.
3. Lungs convert angiotensin I into angiotensin II by angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE).
4. Angiotensin II causes blood vessels to constrict, raising blood pressure.
5. It also tells the adrenal glands to release aldosterone.
6. Aldosterone makes kidneys keep sodium and water, which increases blood volume and pressure.

Goal: Bring blood pressure back up.
