Most of the coaches handling big clubs in Zambia today don’t necessarily deserve those positions ahead of our legends.

The problem is not that legends have been neglected the truth is many have stayed away from football matters themselves.

Why? Because without education, it’s difficult to have the confidence to take up roles in coaching, administration, or even football analysis. Education equips you with communication skills, especially in English, and helps you express your knowledge and ideas.

That’s why today, despite their rich football experience, many legends are silent, while others with less football background are the ones being given opportunities.

👉 This should be a lesson to the current generation of players: combine your football with school. It will give you the courage and ability to take charge of the game even after retirement.

WHY TEAMS GO INTO CAMP BEFORE AN OFFICIAL MATCH 🏟️⚽

Many players sometimes wonder why coaches and clubs insist that the team should go into camp a day or a few days before an important match.

The truth is, camp is not just about sleeping in the same place it plays a big role in performance on match day.

1️⃣ Team Bonding & Unity
Being together helps players focus on one goal. It builds team spirit, removes outside distractions, and strengthens relationships.

2️⃣ Concentration & Focus
When in camp, players stay away from unnecessary movements, social activities, or habits that can disturb mental preparation. It’s about clearing the mind for the game.

3️⃣ Tactical Preparation
The coach uses camp to polish strategies, discuss the opponent, set line ups, and make sure every player understands their role.

4️⃣ Physical & Mental Rest
Camps ensure players eat the right food, rest properly, and sleep on time. This boosts fitness, sharpness, and energy levels before kick off.

5️⃣ Discipline & Professionalism
Camps instill discipline arriving on time, following instructions, and learning to prepare like a professional.

⚽ Message to Footballers:
Never take camping lightly. It’s not a punishment, it’s preparation. Great performance on match day begins in camp.

It’s been observed that our national team spends too much energy singing before kick-off. While music is part of our culture and spirit, it could be draining the same energy needed on the pitch.

✅ Save strength for the 90 minutes.
✅ Let performance on the field be the real song.

We need to rethink, reorganize, and rise again. For mother Zambia, it’s time to do better!
