How to effectively use your medicines (Omeprazole and Antacids) :

👉If you have ulcer and you are making use of Omeprazole, take it before eating.

👉If you are using antacids (eg MMT, Polygel, Relcer gel etc) take it before eating especially if you also experience heartburn and/or indigestion.

👉If you are using Omeprazole and an antacid, take the antacid and give space of at least 3hrs before taking the omeprazole. If you are to take the omeprazole first, space it for at least 2hrs before taking the antacid.

👉This is because taking them together or at a time will result in drug-drug interaction. Omeprazole activation 30min-1hour after intake needs an acidic environment and taking something like antacids that compromises the environment preventing omeprazole from working effectively.

👉This doesn’t just apply to antacid and omeprazole. If u are using an antacid with any other drug. If u take the antacid first, take the next drug in the next 3hrs at least (the ideal stuff is taking it in 4hrs time). If you take the drug first, take the antacid in 2hrs time.

WHY DO MOSQUITOES BITE SOME PEOPLE MORE THAN OTHERS?
1. Research shows that people with blood group O are bitten more frequently by mosquitoes than any other blood group. Blood group A are bitten the least. Apparently mosquitoes don't like the taste of blood group A.
2. The blood of a pregnant woman is more attractive to mosquitoes than that of a non pregnant one.
3. Mosquitoes have been reported to be more attracted to people who have been drinking alcohol. Even a small amount of beer attracts mosquitoes.
4. Part of the reason mosquitoes can find you easily even in a dark room is because they are attracted to carbon dioxide. So when you breath out carbon dioxide you leave a trail for mosquitoes to follow. Your body heat and odor also plays an important role in this regard.
5. It is still not clear why mosquitoes are attracted to black objects. You will notice that you get more mosquitoes bites if you are wearing darker colours.
