Today, we celebrate the power of literacy and its impact on individuals, communities, and societies worldwide. Literacy is a fundamental human right and a key driver of development, empowering people to read, write, and participate fully in their communities.

Let's recognize the efforts of educators, librarians, and literacy advocates who work tirelessly to promote literacy and education. Together, we can!

On behalf of the girls from selected villages in Rufunsa, Lusaka, Zambia, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Sanitary Pads for their generous donation of pads to our community through The Knowledge Effect.

This kind gesture sparked a meaningful conversation and mentorship session, empowering the girls with essential life skills such as assertiveness, mindset, resilience, decision-making, and self-care.

We appreciate the invaluable support of YW OA _ Young Women of Africa in making this initiative possible.

Special thanks also go to our resident doctor, Dr. Judy, and the district nursing officer, Nurse Mazyopa, for their inspiring words of encouragement to the girls.

We look forward to empowering more girls in our next session.

Thank you again to Lindiwe Sanitary Pads and Young Women of Africa for your unwavering commitment to the well-being and empowerment of girls in our community and across Africa!

Am sharing this because am grateful to you and all those who make mention of how my life has impacted you in rooms I have never been, in places I may not get to and to people I may not know....

WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY 2022

October 5 is celebrated as Teachers Day or World Teachers Day around the world. It is observed to express gratitude for the contributions of teachers, who prepare children to face the world.

Teachers, take care of every child without prejudice and instil confidence and courage in them, in addition to educating and training them. Teachers, without a doubt, are wonderful mentors and philosophers who help us to get the ability to handle life’s ups and downs.

The transformation of education begins with teachers.

Teachers you are loved.
