With proud Zeerust Rugby club had the opportunity to hand over some cat food, dog food and much more to Cat Angel Refuge T/a Angels Refuge SA. Thank to every player, staff member of Zeerust Rugby club and supporter who contributed to this opportunity.

We urge everyone who is able to please help where you can.🐾

And another huge thank you goes out to Zeerust Rugby Club. 🏉🐾

The club decided to collect dog and cat goodies for us and honestly, we were completely blown away.

Today, before their game, they handed over more than 300kg of food, treats, toys and blankets for the animals in our care.

To every player, supporter and person who contributed, thank you. You have no idea what a difference this makes. Every bag of food, every toy and every blanket means one less thing for us to worry about and one more animal that can be cared for properly.

Please support our local rugby team whenever you can, whether it's at home games or away matches. These men have shown that they are not just built for rugby scrums. They have enormous hearts too.

Of course, before anything could officially enter the refuge, Chief Quality Control Officer Jax conducted a full inspection. We suspect he was mainly checking whether any of the donations were edible and whether any toys were secretly intended for him. His report was lengthy, mostly drool-covered, and concluded that the donation was "acceptable."
