This work exists because one woman refused to look away from women’s pain.

In the weeks since Reneé’s passing, we have listened — really listened — to the stories and tributes shared by her family, friends, colleagues, and the countless women whose lives she shaped.

What emerges again and again is this: Reneé believed in women long before they believed in themselves. Reneé did not believe in charity without dignity, or support without presence. She believed in sitting with women where they were — in their fear, their rebuilding, their becoming. She believed that women needed to be seen, heard, and believed in before they could believe in themselves.

Susters 4 Life was built from that conviction. From lived experience. From listening more than speaking. From choosing action over silence.

While her physical presence is no longer with us, her work does not end here. The values she embedded, the systems she helped build, and the trust she earned remain at the heart of this organisation.

We honour Reneé not by pausing, but by continuing — with care, integrity, and purpose.

Her legacy lives on in every safe space created, every woman supported, and every life strengthened through this work.
