2014 was the year I got to spend a rare extended time with my Dad, doing grown-up stuff - beer over a braai and chat. 🍻🍖

I had just finished school and it was my gap year before starting Uni. I was talking about my dream of becoming an Olympian and he was explaining the simplicity and fulfillment of achieving something you deeply desire.

That day, one thing he said still rings clear in my ear: "If I can compete with the strongest guys in the world - at any age - then I will be satisfied."
