PEACE BE WITH YOU:

ON Sunday, 12 April 2026, our Rector Priest Clinton Thomas conducted the Divine Service in our Strand South Congregation.

The service was based on the bible text John 20:19-20, which says:

“On the evening of that first day of the week, the disciples were gathered behind closed doors, filled with fear and uncertainty. Then, in the midst of their anxiety, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”

Message:
An encounter with the Risen One brings peace and security.

What a powerful reminder that no door is too closed, no situation too difficult, and no fear too overwhelming for the presence of the Lord. Even when we feel afraid or unsure, Jesus meets us right where we are bringing peace, comfort, and reassurance.

After the celebration of Holy Communion, the congregation also shared in the 25th Wedding Anniverdry blessing of Retired Priest Jonathan Du Preez and his wife Rucia.

After the divine service, the Rector and the couple took time to greet the congregation.
