Job Title: HR Assitant (Security Industry)

Job Summary:
Base 5 Guard is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer with 2–3 years’ experience in the security services industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting HR functions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining strong employee relations within a fast-paced security environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage recruitment and selection of security personnel
Maintain employee records and HR documentation
Ensure compliance with labour laws, PSIRA regulations, and company policies
Handle disciplinary processes, hearings, and grievances
Assist with payroll preparation, including timesheets and attendance records
Coordinate training and development initiatives
Liaise with unions and bargaining councils when required
Monitor employee performance and provide HR support to management

Minimum Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or related field
2–3 years’ HR experience within the security services industry
Strong knowledge of South African labour laws and PSIRA regulations
Experience in handling disciplinary procedures and CCMA matters
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficient in MS Office

Preferred Skills:
Experience working with unions and bargaining councils
Strong administrative and organizational skills
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
