The Rise Up Movement, Today we honour the courage and sacrifice of the youth of 16 June 1975, who stood up for their right to education and a better future.

As we commemorate Youth Day 2026, we also recognise the challenges facing today's youth — school violence, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, and many other social issues that threaten their potential.

The fight may look different, but the mission remains the same: empowering young people to rise above adversity and become leaders of tomorrow.

Together, let us inspire hope, create opportunities, and build safer, stronger communities for our youth.

The Rise Up Movement Child Protection Month – May

Every child deserves to feel safe, protected, and heard. This Child Protection Month, we shine a light on the urgent need to safeguard our children from kidnapping and human trafficking.

Stay Alert. Stay Safe.
Teach children to be aware of their surroundings, avoid strangers, and always stay in safe, trusted spaces.

Know the Red Flags
Not every opportunity is what it seems. Encourage children and teens not to trust offers that sound too good to be true, especially those involving travel or secrecy.

Speak Up
Children must know they have the right to say NO, to feel safe, and to report anything that makes them uncomfortable.

Community Matters
Protecting our children is a shared responsibility. Parents, guardians, schools, and communities must work together to create safer environments.

Remember:
You are not alone. Help is always available.
