The South African Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SASOG), together with SOOMSA and SASUOG, have stated:

👉 There is no reliable evidence that paracetamol use in pregnancy causes autism.
👉 At recommended doses, paracetamol remains the safest and most effective treatment for pain and fever in pregnancy.
