Struggling with nutritional habits? Here are 4 tips that we believe will help them stick! 💪

1. Let go of perfection. If you're being so hard on yourself about following a perfect nutrition plan absolutely perfectly, it sets unrealistic expectations and gives you more opportunities to "fall off the wagon" and even more excuses to stay "off" that wagon.

2. Don't be overly restrictive. If your calorie deficit is too high or you're overly restricting macronutrients like carbohydrates/fats. This sets you up to be ravenous and have higher cravings. While you might have dramatic results in a short time, they cannot be long lasting. Willpower can only do so much when we're fighting survival instincts. Unsustainable actions = unsustainable results.

3. Go for a calorie range rather than striving to hit a number specifically. Again, this is about letting go of perfection. If you're calorie goal in the Truvy Fit app says 1,600 calories per day, know that your nutritionist is happy with you eating 1,500 - 1,700 calories per day!

4. Start small. It's unrealistic to give your nutrition habits a 180 flip on day one. Remember unsustainable actions = unsustainable results. Your healthy nutrition on day one should look very different to your healthy nutrition on day 1,000. Start off with just trying to hit your calorie range or just trying to eat more plants or just trying to increase your protein intake. Once you feel you have a solid handle on one thing you can start working on a new adjustment.
