As South Africa commemorates 50 years since the 1976 student uprisings, this year's June 16 marks more than Youth Day, it marks a powerful call to action.

We honour the courage of the youth of 1976, who fought for equal education and opportunities, while recommitting ourselves to empowering today's generation through education, mentorship, and access to opportunity.

We continue the legacy of young people who dared to stand for a better tomorrow. The youth of 1976 changed history. Today's youth have the power to shape the future.
