This day is a historic day for our country. It is a day when weight was taken off from our country's shoulders, a day when all who were oppressed could truly be free. It represents the first non-racial democratic election that took place on the 27th of April 1994.

This year marks the 22nd year of freedom since the year 1994. It just shows you how far we came as a country.

Let's embrace this day and honor its significance for if we don't, it might loose its meaning. It is up to us to preserve its historic value, never forget that.
