Truck Drivers:
NEW REQUIREMENT THIS YEAR: A visa interview and additional documents are required for H-2A applicants who will engage in commercial truck driving. These applicants are not eligible for the Interview Waiver program. For these purposes, commercial trucking means driving a semi-truck on U.S. highways to transport property or passengers.
H-2A applicants who will engage in commercial trucking must bring the following to their visa interview:
- Police report;
- Copies of all current and prior commercial driver's licenses;
- Official document record of traffic violations from the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offenses (AARTO) system;
- Relevant documents from previous accidents, tickets, infractions, or moving violations.
