Subject requirements:
Core subjects: 45-49 pass
Maths and Maths Lit: 25-29 pass
English: 35-39 pass
Life Orientation (LO): 35-39 pass

Supplementary exam fee is R370 per subject.

DHET Minister Hon. Buti Manamela attends an exhibition at ORBIT TVET College, Rustenburg Campus, during an oversight visit for the 2026 Academic Readiness.

On 09 January 2026, the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Honourable Buti Manamela, accompanied by Director-General Dr Nkosinathi Sishi, conducted an oversight visit to Orbit TVET College to assess institutional readiness for the 2026 academic year. The visit focused on student admissions, infrastructure, teaching and learning resources, and overall preparedness for the academic programme.
