A panic activation was received from one of our security officers monitoring an estate in the Ruimsig area. Through the estate’s cameras, the officer spotted a suspect attempting to steal cables along the boundary wall.

Our armed response team was immediately dispatched and arrived on the scene without delay. Acting swiftly, the security officer pursued and successfully apprehended the suspect with support from our armed response team.

During the incident, tools used by the suspect to steal the cables were recovered as evidence. SAPS has been notified.

Well done to our security officer and armed response team for their vigilance, quick action, and professionalism.
