Empowering the Next Generation of EV Innovators in Kagiso!

Last week, GridCars had the privilege of joining TBS ASTEMIE NPO for a 5-day EV Technology Awareness Workshop in Kagiso, and what an inspiring experience it was! Over the course of the program, learners from technical schools, electrical engineering students, and passionate community members explored the rapidly expanding world of electric mobility. The workshop covered everything from EV systems and battery technologies to charging infrastructure, renewable energy, and the growing career opportunities in South Africa’s green economy.

More than 45 participants completed the workshop, received certificates of attendance, and were equipped with electrical tools sponsored by SANEDI to support their continued learning and technical growth. This initiative is a brilliant example of what collaboration can achieve. We’re proud to support projects that open doors, spark curiosity, and help build a skilled, future-ready workforce in South Africa’s EV sector.
