INCIDENT SUMMARY
On the morning of 13 June 2026, members of the CSI Armed Response Unit received information regarding a truck travelling on the N1 South near Garsfontein Road, suspected of transporting stolen goods originating from a previously hijacked vehicle.
Acting swiftly on the intelligence received, members executed a coordinated tactical intervention with precision and professionalism. The operation resulted in the successful stopping of the vehicle and the detention of two suspects at what became known as Scene 1.
Further investigation at Scene 1 revealed information indicating that the original hijacked truck and trailers were located on a plot in Bon Accord. Members of the CSI Special Operations Unit immediately mobilised to the location. Upon arrival, the stolen trailers were successfully recovered and three additional suspects were detained with the assistance of the Tshwane Metro Police Department.
While processing the scene, additional intelligence was received regarding a suspicious truck that had been standing unattended in Soshanguve. Once again, the CSI Special Operations Unit deployed to investigate. Working in close cooperation with Tracker Connect, members successfully located and recovered the vehicle.
