👀Try our yummy gluten-free buttermilk rusk recipe – it’s crunchy, comforting and easy on the gut.
What you need 🍽️
- 4 cups gluten-free flour
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup melted butter or coconut oil
- 1 cup buttermilk (or dairy-free option)
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup honey
- Optional: chopped nuts or seeds
Method 🎯
- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Mix dry ingredient in a bowl and in another bowl mix the wet ingredients.
- Combine wet and dry to form a batter
- Pour into greased baking dish and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown
- Cool, slice into rusks, and dry out in low oven at 100°C for 4-5 hours or until crisp.
