In the early '80s, a Black DJ named Frankie Knuckles helped shape the sound of house music in Chicago, blending disco, soul, and electronic beats with drum machines and deep emotion. But he wasn’t alone. The genre was born in Black and q***r clubs, like The Warehouse, where community, freedom, and rhythm created something revolutionary.⁠
