Making figure model cake toppers can seem like a daunting task for new cake decorators, but with a bit of practice, it soon becomes a rewarding and enjoyable skill and one you'll put to lots of use in your cake decorating. Starting out, learn the basics of cake topper modelling in this workshop, but as you progress you'll begin to develop your own style, with unique facial expressions, hairstyles and postures bringing your characters to life.

With a beautiful selection of character designs, from simpler styles to more dramatic creations to inspire the decretive cake baker in you. Characters can make cakes enchanting for a little one, even right up to teenage years and beyond, with their favourite cartoon characters, sports figures or family members.

PIPING TECHNIQUES & BUTTERCREAM WORKSHOP

Buttercream is the bakers best friend!

In this workshop you will learn the trade secrets for a smooth tasty buttercream needed to perfectly cover cakes and pipe beautiful buttercream accents for a professional looking cake.

The workshop focuses on the basics fundamental to working with buttercream and cake decorating.

This workshop will take you through the steps on how to prepare your piping bag, colouring buttercream, correct handling of your piping bag, an overview of piping nozzles and in depth tutorials on the four most common nozzles and everything you can do with them.

If you are considering a career in baking cakes, or you would like to make a cake for a special occasion or you simply want to meet new people and learn something new this is the class for you.

This workshop is from 09h00 till 16h00. Coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided.

All of the necessary tools and equipment for each class are supplied by Sugar Dolls for your use during the class. On completion of the workshop you will receive a certificate of completion, a useful craft, a professionally decorated cake, accents and cupcakes proudly done by you, and new friends.
