The Compliance Wake-Up

Your student accommodation can be fully booked and still illegal.

We walked through buildings with a waiting list of students and a serious problem the owner had no idea existed: the place didn’t meet the DHET Minimum Norms and Standards for Student Housing.

Full occupancy hides it. The rent comes in, the rooms are full, everything feels fine. Then an inspection happens, or a parent asks the wrong question, or an incident occurs and suddenly “fully booked” is worth nothing.
