International Non-Binary People's Day is observed each year on 14 July to celebrate, recognise, and uplift non-binary people around the world. The day was established in 2012 by activist Katje van Loon and was intentionally placed midway between International Women's Day (8 March) and International Men's Day (19 November), symbolising the experiences of people whose identities exist beyond the traditional binary of woman and man.

The day serves as an opportunity to increase awareness of non-binary identities, challenge misconceptions, and advocate for greater visibility, inclusion, and equal rights. It also honours the diversity of gender expression and acknowledges the contributions, resilience, and lived experiences of non-binary people across cultures and communities.

Today is not only a celebration but also a reminder that everyone deserves to be seen, respected, and affirmed for who they are. To every non-binary person: your identity is valid, your voice matters, and your existence enriches our community. Happy International Non-Binary People’s Day!
