By sharing your experiences as a driver or passenger in Sandton, you can help shape road safety programmes that aim to reduce drinking and driving while creating safer roads for everyone.

We are excited to share that our first Project Steering Committee (SteerCo) meeting was successfully held on 19 June at the Sandton Licensing Department, bringing together passionate partners committed to making our roads safer.

Representatives from South African Police Service, South African Police Service, Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department, NICRO, and Liminal Research came together to discuss ways to reduce drinking and driving through education, awareness, and community action.

The session focused on empowering community members to make responsible choices, understand the dangers of impaired driving, and play an active role in creating safer roads for everyone. It also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to align on project goals and plans for the months ahead.

A huge thank you to all our partners for their enthusiasm, commitment, and shared vision. This is just the beginning of an important journey towards changing behaviours, saving lives, and building safer communities.
