YOUTH DAY IN ACTION!

More than 1,100 learners at Nsimbini Full Service School in Cato Manor came together to celebrate Youth Day with a powerful message: Cleanliness, Dignity and Pride go hand in hand.

The event marked the official KwaZulu-Natal launch of the Janitress Cleaning Programme, an ambitious initiative that will empower 200 Janitresses at 200 Government Schools across all 9 provinces of South Africa with specialised training, uniforms, protective gear, cleaning equipment and ongoing support to create cleaner, safer and more dignified learning environments. All 200 schools will be receiving Baby Soft toilet tissue to help the learners ‘get comfortable’ during their breaks, totalling 19,200 toilet rolls, delivered to schools across the Country!

From soap-making and handwashing demonstrations to educational games and a school-wide Hygiene Pledge, learners embraced their role as champions of cleanliness. A special highlight was the introduction of Nombeko Victoria Soyamba, Nsimbini School’s Janitress, who pledged her commitment to keeping facilities clean, safe and welcoming for every learner.
