We might seen of heard this quote/phrase before. BUT...the🧩 Involve me and I learn🧩hits home for me. That’s the heart of financial literacy for kids — 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. Because financial capability is 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁- by involving them kidddds😊🌱💰

🌟 My aunt was teaching me the art of making trade-offs—𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗼 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿. In hindsight, that was my first real lesson in sacrificing in order to earn. It all starts here: 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 becomes the foundation that shapes how they see and have a relationship with and/or around money.

And these lessons form the base that influences how we measure value, make decisions, and develop tools for building stronger financial capabilities. And they show up in our adult life! That’s why being intentional in modelling these skills for kids is so important. Sacrifice, patience, and understanding trade-offs are not just money lessons—they’re life lessons that shape financial behavior for the future.💡
