DO IT ALL

"How do I do it all?",
I don't, and in all honesty, I don't know how I am still holding on
but,

It keeps me on knowing that out there is someone who looks at me and feels motivated,
I don't do it all,

I just do my bit for the say that will get me to tomorrow, i stand strong even when I feel weak in the knees because if I don't firm, then who will man up for me?

what keeps me motivated is the distance I've come from the place I no longer want to be in
Destination is known but undetermined
haven't I come far to go back now??

So, I don't do it all
I do it one step at a time,
won't I crumble in it if I try it all simultaneously??

"if poverty could talk",
Unfortunately it does, my wish was so that what it says falls upon deaf ears
because why should we listen when poverty calls out our name, and why do we obey?

yes, poverty knows that I come from a broken family but what broke me then must give me strength to rebuild a better family today
poverty even knows the location of every youngin who went to bed hungry and also endured school with starvation

Driven by hunger, my friend became hunger driven, starvation became motivation and though he opened when poverty came knocking, at last he sent it packing

"Poverty" is a lonely guru, and it is always talking, but if poverty could really talk then it would say "you come from nothing, what do you think you are going to be"?,
and I would reply it by saying,

you know where I come from but not where I am going, my place of origin does not define me
