Swedu is a faithful pastor serving in Zanzibar - a nation where approximately 98% of the population is Muslim.
In this update, Swedu shares his experience of attending Colin’s Biblical Theology Training, which was held in Zanzibar last week, and reflects on the helpful impact it had on those who participated!

Across the Issachar network, we are privileged to partner with 14 incredible men of faith who are trusting Jesus for a great harvest in their nations and beyond. We call these men "Chiefs" because we see their leadership and God-given vision to reach people with the Gospel, many of whom have little or no access to Jesus.
These Issachar Chiefs are based across Pakistan, Myanmar, Egypt, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda, Malawi, Mozambique, and South Africa, with ministry impact extending into several neighbouring nations.
Please pray for these faithful leaders—that they would remain strong in their calling, be encouraged and equipped by the Holy Spirit, and see many lives transformed as doors open for the Gospel in some of the world's least-reached places.
Here is some incredible feedback from the training Lyson led in Zomba, Malawi, with local leaders in the area.
Lyson is highly experienced in disciple-making using Discovery Bible Study (DBS) methods within small group contexts in his community. He currently has more than 50 small groups running, many of them among the unreached Muslim people group, the Yao Tribe.
It has been incredible to see Lyson share his knowledge and experience with like-minded believers over the last week, and to witness the impact this training has had - inspiring them to go out and make disciples — not just church members — who are equipped to follow Jesus, and grow through His Word.

Malawi Update: Gareth has had an amazing time connecting with Lyson, Wilfred, Luca and Susan in Zomba. During their time together, Lyson has been using his gift of teaching to encourage and equip Wilfred and his team through the Discipleship Making Movement training.
The response has been such a blessing — leaders have been so engaged and impacted by this model - and are stirred to reach others with this training. A sense of momentum is growing as more like-minded believers are connecting, getting equipped and being mobilised to make disciples within their communities.
We’re praying for lasting fruit to come from these new relationships, this training, and the impact of their time together!
